GOLDEN GROWN.

After doing a considerable amount of dead work the tributers, Lamb, Gilpin and party, have been successful in taking out a crushing of 60 or 70 tons which is now being crushed at the Prince Alfred mill, and will probably give a return averaging about an ounce per ton. This crushing has been derived from the surface workings, and was taken from the foot-wall leader, which varies in size from 2upto 12 inches' through. It is hoped that the stoping operations will show that this lode is of similar value near the surface.
