This day.
In the Supreme Court this morning, Jano Galloway, for perjury, was discharged, there not being sufficient evidence for the prosecution. The Grown Prosecutor will enter a noble prosequi in the George Jones libel case, fixed for the seventh or eleventh of March. The Judge asked about Proudfoot'a case, and the Crown Prosecutor said he was waiting instructions from Wellington. The Criminal Sittings have been adjourned to Monday.
