The cricket match, Canterbury v. Wellington was played to-day. The weather was very fine, and the attendance moJerate. Wickets were pitched at 10.30t At 1 o'clock four Canterbury men were out for 122, Ashby scoring 44 and Nelson 28. After lunch 153 runs were made

before all were oufc. Wellington made only 32 in the first innings, and being sent in again, played uutil time was called, with five out for 42 runs. The play of the Canterbury team was remarkably good in the field and with the bat. The fielding of the Wellington team was very loose. The Canterbury men left in the Ladybird soon after stumps were drawn.
