Meri Taipari was charged with unlawfully using abusive and insulting language towards one Sarah E. Poweli.for the purpose of annoyance and provocation tending to provoke a breach of the peace, on the 4th instant. / There wai no appearance of the defendant. . Mr Bullen stated that the summons had been duly served upon the defendant. His Worship said that he could not issue a warrant being only a J.P. He would adjourn ttie case till Saturday. Court adjourned.
