RESIDENT MAGISTRATE'S COURT
THIS DAY. (Before A. J. Allom, Esq., J.P.) DHUNKENNESS. One person was charged with drunkenness, but failing to appear his bail was forfeited. INSULTING LANGUAGE. Meri Taipari was charged with unlawfully using abusive and insulting language towards one Sarah E. Poweli.for the purpose of annoyance and provocation tending to provoke a breach of the peace, on the 4th instant. / There wai no appearance of the defendant. . Mr Bullen stated that the summons had been duly served upon the defendant. His Worship said that he could not issue a warrant being only a J.P. He would adjourn ttie case till Saturday. Court adjourned.
