In the drive towards the Queen of Beauty boundary, which is now about 130 feet long, there is a good deal of water issuing from the face, which shows that the water in the Queen of Beauty and Queen of the May has been lapped and is slowly percolating through the country towards the drainage shaft. A considerable portion of the lode has been stripped and will be taken down shortly; while the restarting of the battery is contemplated at no very distant data The efficient manner in which the Bird in Hand section can now be worked should enable a large quantity of quartz to be obtained from this source. »
