QUEEN OF BEAUTY.
The hoppers are filling up with quartz, and the manager will soon bo in a position to resume crushing operations at the oorapany's mill. The quartz now in the hoppers should crush well, us it has a Tery healthy appearance. Understoping is such slow work that it is not likely that the manager will bo able to keep the full power of the batlery going long from that source alone. However, it is satisfactory to learn that the water is slowly going down in the company's shaft, so that it is hoped it will not be long before the manager will be able to work the block in a more systematic manner from the new level. As would be seen iri Saturday* paper, the directors have determined, to adopt the very sensible course of letting the upper portions of the mine on tribute, when it is expected that considerable revenue will be obtainable from a portion of the mine which has hitherto been unproductive.
