Since the first retorting for the mine at the company's large mill the fortnightly returns hare been gradually improving, and Saturday's retorting for last fortnight has capped all its predecessors, inasmuch as it amounted to 3320zs gold. In addition to the general stuff about 3cwt. of picked stone were taken out during the fortnight, and doubtless they have assisted in augmenting the return of the general stuff considerably. The gold was melted at the Bank of New Zealand to-day, and reduced to 3280zs Sdwts gold.
