ALJBURNIA.

Operations on the specimen leader, in the Whau level, are being continued, and as far as it goes the operations have proved, at least, that the gold in the specimen leader goes down. Yesterday some 2Olbs of good specimens, besides a lot of stuff showing gold, were obtained from the drive. The drive on the course of the slide is showing that'there is a little more mullock in the slide than there was some two or three weeks ago, but otherwise there is no change. The drive which was being put through the slide in Foster's intermediate level has been temporarily suspended. The following is a copy of the telegram sent to the directors by the manager this morning :—" Broken down twenty pounds specimens from specimen leader Whau level.—S. Geibble."
