Professor Fay and Mr E. D, Davies' Entertainment.
The last of the above entertainments was given in.the Academy of Music last night. Mr W. H. Reed and Mr C. Brown acted as a,committee to remain on the stage during, the cabinet business, and the latter gentleman did the tying, but this was done in such a way that it did not appear to give the professor much trouble to get out of it, and the usual manifestations proceeded without any difficulty. The programme was the same as on previous nights, the cabinet business being followed by Mr Davies* yentriloquial ijfcf'play. This was very amusing laff 1 night, Mr Davies being very happy in some of his local allusions. The dark seance concluded the performance, and vas the subject of much comment, which! was" not confined to those who witnessed it for the fir^t time. Mr Fay and Mr Davies both thanked the audience for their attendance and attention, and expressed their gratification at the liberal patronage accorded,, to them at the Thames when, they had come down here with half the company, as it were, rather than disappoint the public. They announced that they were Tinder engagement: to give an entertainment in Auckland for the benefit of some charitable institution, but would be glad,, if circumstances permitted, to renew their acquaintance with the Thames people;
