Although the mine under the regime of ,the company turned out a miserable failure yet the party who have taken both battery" and "mine on tribute appear tobe doing pretty well and are at least making good wages though the stuff is of low grade. -The late flood cavried away some thirty or forty feet of the fluming at the battery and that will tike some ; days to repair. At present- the tributers are not breaking quartz but are engaged in timbering up their workings and. making all secure. :
