No more stuff has yet been broken down from the specimen leader, and consequently there are no fresh hauls of specimens. Stoping operations on this lode are being-pushed ahead Vigorously.' Mr Gribble informs me that it is probable a start will be made to drive through the main slide. The crushing at the Moanatairi battery continues to look well, and the yield should certainly pay a very handsome dividend.
Several tribute parties will be crushing next; week.: Downie and party are reported to have got a fine haul of specimens yesterday—-about one hundred weight. Coad and party see gold in their leader in the lower level,, and the leader, has greatly improved in appearance.
