James Morrow was charged, on warrant, with allowing two cows to wander at large in Sealey street, Shortland on the 17thinst. ■
Defendant pleaded guilty. ; Mr Bullen explained to the Bench that .j defendant had failed to appear in answer' ibUthe charge: on -Frulayj last in consequence of which he had had a warrant issued to apprehend defendant, but he had not put the warrant into immediate execution so as to give"' him a chance of appearing oh Saturday morning; this the defendant had neglected to do, and he therefore arrested him on Saturday .afternoon, since which time ; defendant had been imprisoned. ■ Fined 5s and coots 9s, or 24 hours'imprisonment. * KEG£iIGE«T DBIVE3. , A.,. v Harry Smith was charged with leaving a vehicle of which- he was the driver in such a way as to be beyond his control, in Grey street, Parawai, on the 15th inst. Defendant pleaded guilty. . Mr Bullen said the defendant, who was the driver of a bread cart, had left it on a public road, without securing the wheel with a chain, and that defendant had be;n warned about this before by the police.
