After my visit to the mine yesterday a further parcel of specimens was broken from the roof of the middle stop«»s, amounting. to - 2501b5,. which witk^the 1501bs previously obtained,, brought the total result of yesterday'? breakings down up to 4001ba of fair npecimens. There was a good show left. .TJiis morning ,themanager had another shot fired in the reef which had the effect of bring* ing down two cwt-more of -good golden stone while the show in: the face-: remained good. It is now pretty certain that this new find of gold in the stopes is part of the run which has—to use a technical word—"jumped" from the main run. There is nothing of any particular importance to report in connection with, the new winze on the N0.i.9, as sink* iDg is proceeding alongside,: of the lode. The winze, from .the drive, on the All Nation's , leader,: to-: connect with the new level when it is extended has been started and the All Nations leader has become betted' defined.
