QUEEN OF THE MAY.
As was anticipated, the recent fine yield has enabled the directors to. declare a dividend of 2s per share on the single, and 4s per share on the double issue. As the total number of shares in theebmpany amounts to 8800, the amount paid in this dividend is £880, and this is not at all bad considering that the last dividend was only paid about one month ago. In addition lo the dividend £410 was carried to the credit account. At the mine things are looking very well. There is an improvement in the footwall lode, gold being risible in even larger quantities than it has been of late, and the manager brought up a parcel of nice looking specimens showing coarse gold in considerable quantities which had been obtained in the breaking down this morning. The manager will send a parcel from the hanging wall reef to the battery early next week.
