Eoyal last night to a. good house, ,the stalls being' better patronised.than on. any previous evening. The programme, waa similar to that given on the previQUSie^enini.ajnd it, was well sustained. Thai loornjjr^jmen were exceedingly lively, aod-'.their^nticij were something surprising.•■ Mr Hajton; gave a very clever banjo solo antjl was encored, tie responded 'to the call and. gave a' very musical imitation of the bells. There was a humorous song 5 and dance act by two of the troupe,-which"'as a specimen of negro extravaganza excelled anything ; previously' given bj. the troupe. The ' two actors-~6ne' attired' as a ,male and the ofctyer as a: female — threw their feet" ,and, themselves about in a most reckless manner, and infused such a spirit, of ( fv^n, into their .singing and dancing ; that they brought down the house. In to a demand for' an encore they danced a ji°t in excellent 'style. ' The.' American sand-jig was;a-very clever" piece" of danciog, and was:encored, but we ( cannot award the credit, to the performer by name, the item being a departure frpi&prgi*, gramme. The whole performance seemed to be highly appreciated by the audience.^ the applause was frequent and hearty; and the minstrels were exceedingly obliging in responding to numerous encores. The performance of the minstrels this evening will be under the patronage of Superintendent Macdonald and members of the Shortlandßrigade,,an,d Superintendent Price, officers and rnejnbers of the Grahamstown Brigade. There should be a good house, as it will be the last night but one of the mins.trels' season on the Thames. <'-'- ''■"■'
