PIAKO.
Late last nighl; Mr Small reported to the manager that there was a great improvement in the crushing at the battery, the returns of amalgam being very good. The next retorting takes place on Saturday. At the mine the big face is looking as weir as ever, there being no particular change to report. In the drive at the Queen of Beauty end the show still continaes promising, and latterly the stu_ff from this side has been sent to the mill in
equal quantities to that sent from the large face." The drive oh the Bird-in* Hand reef will shortly be on the fun of gold.
