LITTLE AGNES (TARARU).

Thorburn and party, the tributers of this claim, situated at Upper Tararu, finished a crushing of 20 tons at the Tararu ba 1 cry this morning for the satisfactory return of 320z 14dwts retorted gold. The parcel crushed was the result of the driving-of about 30 feet on the lode between two winzes put down ; fronthe level above, and is the deepest place that gold has been got in the claim.. The gold is of good quality, and was worth about £3 8s per ounce. The tributers intend to continne the sinking of the winzes, and it is hoped that the gold banked to-day is the forerunner of a series of good payable returns from this claim,- to whica the tributers have stuck very perseveringly.
