] The meeting yesterday at Kopua was the largest held for some time past. Tawhiao, Eewi, Manuhiri and all the principal chiefs were present. Theobject of the meeting was to welcome the lower Waikatos. Seven large bullocks, and potatoes in tons were presented to-them. Eewi gave them the choice of land from Punui to Waipa to settle on.
