CHICAGO MINSTRELS.
The above minstrel troupe performing at the Theatre Koyal redeemed their promise by. giving a complete change in the programme of their entertainment last night. There was a very good house, and a thoroughly, appreciative one, scarcely an item being allowed to pass without most marked appreciation by. the audience. In the first part some very choice songs were given with excellent accompaniments, and the soft choruses were rendered with much expression. The concluding piece of. the first part was a medley introducing averse/ each from the national airs of-France, Germany and England, and the latter, "Rule Britannia," was encored. The second part embraced the'usual features, in which the singing of Messrs Towle, Hawkins, Gary and Marshall was heard to advantage. : Mr Marshall sang " Know my courage " most' effectively; Messrs Towle and Gary' ren? dered the duet " The Moon hath raised her lamp " with expression and in excellent voice; and the other parts of the programme were as entertaining as ever, including th^ comic acts, and the singing and dancing of the Messrs Arlington and Mr 0. Wallace,. Tonight is to be the last.of the company's season here, with a double bill, and there will probably be a good house, as certainly there should be, the Chicago Minstrels being a clever combination of talented vocalists and musicians.: " v :^
