Sarah Gordon was charged with allowing one dog to be at large in Pollen street without a collar being affixed thereto on the 19th instant. No appearance of defendant. This was a case adjourned from Saturday last. Mr Bullen said the police had ascertained that the dog had been poisoned, he therefore wished to withdraw the charge. Charge withdrawn. BREACHES OF BYE IAW. Charles Hart was charged wiLh breach of Bye-law No. 3, Sec. 28, Borough of Thames by allowing three cows td wander at large in Alfred street, Thames. - Defendant pleaded not guilty. Mr Bullen said the cattle, although they had been seen on a public road, had subsequently b en found on private property, and he thought it was rather the duty of the Council to take action than the police. Charge withdrawn. . , '■ f * William Latham, George Parker and .Henry Moore (three cab drivers) were charged with breach of vßye-law No. 1, section 40, by allowing their vehicles to be unattended in Pollen, street, Thames, on the 20th ihst. : .

All the defendants pleaded guilty,

Mr Bullen informed the Court that the three defendants had been " sky-larking " arid causing an. obstruction on *the footpath, instead of minding their cabs. He thought it desirable that. this sort of thing should be put a siop. to; he did not, however, wish the Bench to inflict a heavy penalty. ' « Fined Is each, and costs. Court adjourned.
