HAPE CREEK G.M.CO.

At a meeting of. the directors of. this mine held at the legal manager's office last evening it was resolved to .commence operations at once, and Mr Thomas the. managing director was instructed to take steps for the removal of the engine, at present at the battery, to the Tweedside section of the mine, to be there used for winding and other purposes. The engine will be replaced at the battery by a turbine wheel; and it was resolved to purchase a battery of four head of stampers from Mr D. Tookey for the sum of £75. With an energetic Board of Directors and an experienced manager this company ought to go ahead, and the shareholders have every confidence that it will, as the fact that all the shares have been taken up and there are more applications for shares than can be satisfied proves.
