To-day some stone showing a quantity from the number 2 reef at a point 40 feet from the northern side of the shaft in the south drive. Owing to the heayy flow of water and the income of gas it is almost impoEsible to closely inspect the face, and consequently it is not yet known if there is any gold showing in the face. There is, however, -the encouraging prospect that there is more gold where this came from; Noonan and party lodged a supplement tary parcel of gold to-day as the result of a further cleaning up after their last crushing. The lodgment amounted to 25 ozs 12dwts, which makes the total result of the crushing 118ozs 6dwts.
