The parcel, which was,, crushed at Perry's battery, was','composed of three tons" stuff taken from the small leader—the quartz having been conveyed from the mine to the battery by means of a punt at considerable expense. The yield amounted to 2oz ldwt melted gold, and though not payable with the present means of conveyance, is expected to prove amply remunerative when the projected road" is made by the County Council, In the.meantime the shareholders have, plucfcily.resolved to continue the working of the mine.
