The Moanatairi Retorting.

The final retorting for the week is at present taking place at the company's battery, the retorts having been put in the fire at about half-past two. It is expected that it will be finished by 5 o'clock/ and the result will be published in a second edition. Numerous " tips" as to the probable result have been rife through the. day, varying from 40C0 to 8000ozs.
