Jane French, Peter Whelan, and Joseph Norris -were charged with being drunk and incapable, last night. The former pleaded guilty, and was fined 10s

and costs, with the usual alternative. The two latter were on bail, and failing to appear their bail was forfeited.

James Simpson was charged with unlawfully wheeling a barrow on the footpath in Rolleston street, Shortland, on the. 20th instant, Defendant pleaded guilty, and was fined Is, and costs.

" Hori Mateney a native, was charged with unlawfully allowing one horse to wanderat large in Bowen street, Parawai, on the 20th inst, also with allowing the same horse to wander at large in the same place on the 21st inst. Defendant pleaded guilty, and was fined 5s —2s 6d for each offence—and costs.
