Very heavy rain fell on Saturday, and caused some damage to property in the city, and also in Ballarat, where it was felt the most. All business is very dull. A further extension of 13 miles on the Victorian railways was opened yesterday. Hastings was executed this morning. He still maintained his innocence of, murdering his wife, or violating his daughter. The new Victorian Club has proved a great success.
