Return of the Thames Volunteer Representatives.
As intimated in last night's issue the volunteer representatives arrived by the Hinemoa yesterday. They received a welcome at the - hands of the citizens of Auckland, and our Thames men were greeted by some personal friends who happened to be in Auckland. Volunteer Ura Whare returned to the Thanies by the night boat, but the other Thames men remained behind until to-day, when the following returned by the Rotomahana :— Captain Murray, Lieutenant Brqwnlbw, Volunteers Fagg, Clark, and Armstrong. There was a considerable number of citizens on the wharf to welcome bnck the representatives of the district, but there was nothing like a formal demonstration i ; Major Cooper was present. The volunteers received the congratulations of their friends.
