Robert Sampson (a small boy) was, charged with throwing stones to the damage of. property in Bella street, Grahamstovvn, on the Ist inst.
The defendant said he had been trying to hit a heap of tailings and had accidentally hit the house. Mr BuHen read a letter from the inhabitants of Bella street complaining of the bad conduct of boys in the vicinity, and asking the police to .put a stop to the nuisance. His Worship administered a caution io the youthful delinquent and discharged him. WANDERING HO RSK9. Joseph Buckley was charged, with unlawfully allowing one mure »nd foal to wander at large in Bo wen street, Parawai, on the 28th ult. ' Defendant pleaded guilty. He said that the mare had not been out of the paddock for three years'except to'work.' The paddock where the mare was grazing was on the bank of the river where the boats landed, and the people from the boats had not clo -ed the gate. There had been several h rses on the road the day befQjpe,_and_thoy-Jiad-iiot .been touched. Fined 2s 6d and costs. Court adjourned.
