What.is known as the Summit Tunnel, on the Kimutaka, is now pierced from end to end. Its length is 630 yards. This is the last obstacle to the completion of the railway to Feathers ton.
Joseph Dyer, resident secretary of the Australian Mutual Provident Society, died at his residence on Saturday.
