The rain continued to fall during the best part of last ni^ht, but the sun broko through about 8 o'clock this morning, and it is now fine, though the ground is wet and sloppy.-, At 8.30 tlie llifle Marksmen's Match was resumed, and A* Sutton -took the ,800 yards' range prizp> with "a fine, scoreof 24.... The winners of match prizes, are :—Chapman, Canterbury^ 38? "A. Button, Maryborough, 36: Turner, Wellington, 36; Kichardson, Dunediny 35; Acheson, Rivertou, 34 The Carbine Marksmen's Match is finished. The prize winners are: —Muir, 39 ; Peak, 37 ; Kettle, 30.

After dinner the rifle and carbine Forth and South Matches, and the Staff Match were commenced concurrently. The first of the three to finish was the Carbine Match, which was won by the South by a majority of 7 points, the total scores being—South, 317; North, 310. Hill, of Ghristchurch, taking the Cup with a score of 68. McLean of Auckland, was the highest scorer in the Northern team witlTßo points.

The liifle Match, North v. South, was then finished, and won by the South by a majority of 46 points, the South maldng 653, and the North 607. Paynter, of Nelson, wins the Cup, with a magnificent score of 72. The highest scorer on the losing side is Captain Murray, of the Thames, with 66 points. • - The Staff Match was then completed. The winners are—Spence, 46; Button, 41; Christie, 39; Bell, 38. / i Nothing is now left but the All Comers Match, which will-be taken to-morrow morning, if fine. This day. The All-Comers Match commenced at one o'clock.this morning ; there were 74 entries. To-day completes the whole firing—to-morrow settlement of accounts.
