The cricket match was resumed to-day at 1 p.m., with fine weather. Newton and Cress well, who werenot out, went to the wickets to the bowling of, Lilly white and Souther ton. Newton, who had made two singles previously, ran up a 2, 3, and 1, when he skied the ball into A.rmitage's hands—3-8-10. Perkins joined Cresswell, when the latter was clean bowled by Southertcn—4-3 12. McGregor then joined Perkins, and the two were expected to make a stand, but McGregor was bowled by Southerton, after add-
ing a single—s-1-6. Pickering and Perkins were then together, but Perkins was caught by Charlwood, after only adding 2—(3.12-16. Tennett went next, and, after making 2, was clean bowled by Southerton—7.2-23. The wickets then fell rapidly, Nixon being run out—o.2-3. Fraser Martin was caught by Ulyett — 9.0 23. Guinness (captain) joined Pickering, who was steadily scoring, but was disposed of with a duck's egg—lo.o-26. Drew and Haworth followed, but both were bowled out by Southerton — 12.0-26. White joined Pickering, and had made 3 when an adjournment was made to lunch, Pickering's score being 9. Total (including 2" by6B) 30, with 12 wickets down.
