QUEEN OF THE MAY.
A contract for driving 100 feet on the course of reef in the No. 5 or bottom level was let yesterday to Jeffreys and party. Several other parties tendered, several of the prices being close' to the one which was accepted. Tenders were also received for driving 50 on the No. 4 level, but none were accepted.
