PUMPING ASSOCIATION.
McLoughrey and party's contract for driving 150 feet in the North crosscut at the 640 feet level having been completed, tenders were called for
another contract of 150 feet and on the tenders being opened yesterday Kerr and party's tender was excepted. There were several other tenderers for the work. The manager has carpenters employed constructing the woodwork of the ballance job and fitting on the castings, completed at Messrs Price's foundry last week. The woodwork is of a very substantial nature, and the box will not be much inferior in size to the one now working on the surface.
