The half-yearly; general ; meeting ? was held at the Mechanics- Institute yesterday. Mr' Crawford was in the chair. The directors' report and balance sheet having been read and adopted, Messrs Donnelly, and Crawford, who inspected the mine by request, reported most favorably of the prospects, and •trongly recommended the extension of tunnel on. eastern side a further distance of 90 feet, they having kittle;) doubt but that payable quartz wouldVbe struck within that distance. The- assets of: the company, exclusive of uncalled - capital and 289 reserved shares,, amount to £72, as against a liability of £7 }10s. Messrs Crawford, Donnelly, Mahoney, Hutchinson and lieilly were elected directors in lieu of the late Board, and a vote of thanks to the chairman closed the meeting.
