The half-yearly, general, meeting jgas held at the Mechanics' Institute terday, Mr McCullough in the chair. The directors' report and balance-sheet were approved of and adopted. Shareholders expressed themselves as being pleased at the manner in which the company's operations were being carried on, and were evidently in favor of the extension of present main tunnel, there being a strong probability of striking . the. reef within another 70 feet of .driving. The reef if struck in the main line • will give backs of 120 feet. The assets of the company, exclusive of. uncalled capital and 3900 reserved • shares, amount to £4.6 19s 4d, against which there is a liability of £55 10s. Messrs' Crawford and Donnelly were elected directors in place of two of.the late directors who resigned. ' %
