AUCKLAND.
This day.
The schooner Canterbury, bought by Sterndale's friends, sailed for the Islands last night. Sterndale was arrested at the suit of Henderson & Macffarlane, for £1000, said to have been incurred under a partnership agreement. $$ The clai-m arises out of an action to wind up the partnership agreement, and the arrest was made upon the Sheriff's warrant, applied for on the ground that Sterndale intended leaving the colony.
