ADJOURNED MEETING.
The Council resumed at three o'clock.
The Chairman read a. letter from Mr Dean, agent for the Church fission property, accompanied by a plan of the property, showing roads laid out, etc. Etc offered a tracing of the plan to the Council, and said that no other roads but those laid out would be allowed.
Mr Dean's offer was accepted on the motion of Or. Coutts.
A letter was read from William Little.john and others, askiDg for assistance in making a road to their claim at Tapu. \ Cr Mitchell moved that the matter be deferred till next meeting. This was carried.
Cr Bagnall gave notice that at next meeting he would move that the Surveyor be instructed to report on the best means for opening up the auriferous lands be^ hind Graihamstown by means" of roads from Grahamstown. - ' ;
BUI/ES AND STANDING OKDERS. Rough proofs of the Rules and Standing Oorders having been supplied to each Councillor, they were revised and some small alterations made, after which they, were adopted on the motion of Cr Mitchell. '■? The meeting tlien adjourned.
