Monday.

Arrived: The Albion Company's ship Canterbury, from London, eighty days out, with 2000- tons of cargo and 19 passengers. On the 18fch December George Bowling had a fit and fell overboard from the starboard foreyard arm. The ship wag going four knots. John Sawbert, quarter-master, jumped off the forecastle head, dived and caught Bowling's hair, and succeeded in putting a life-bouy over him.; Bowling was taken on board, and remained unconscious for nearly an hour. .:.•■■

•The New Zealand Shipping Company's ship Otaki also arrived from London, ninety days out, with 103 passengers and 1000 tons cargo. She had a terrific gale on the 26th insfc. from the S.-W, The ship was popped,: and ran through the gale close'reefed.
