The Tokomairiro arid Lawrence railway line was opened to-day as far as Waitahuna. There was no demonstration, it being postponed till the line is completed to Lawrence.'

A newspaper runner has been summoned this afternoon for selling copies of the Daily Times and Star within the precincts of the Dunedin Railway Station. The plaintiff is Thomas Robertson, an old settler living at Anderson's Bay, and he seeks to . set aside a deed of conveyance to his son-in-law and daughter, Mr and Mrs D. M. Ross, of Timaru, on the ground that the deed in question was procured by fraudi The property involved is said to be worth £8003.. At yesterday's sitting of the Court defendant and plaintiff were examined, and the further herring of the case was adjourned till ten o'clock this morning.
