A MOEAL SONG.

(after -watts.)

Let dogs delight to bark and bite, So Dr. Watts has written, And no one cares a single jot Except the dog that's bitten. But editors should ne'er indulge In such delights as these, Or write of pigeons' wings as if They would stir up a " breeze." It is a sin to steal a pin, Or c'en a single particle Of what's another's ; how much worse To steal a leading article. But usage' hardens all mankind, So men begin to feel By cribbing others' writings they Can steel their minds to steal. Then morning paper take advice, That is that you engage Your editor his bad ways leaves, And turns o'er a new page.
