COUNTY COUNCIL.

The adjourned meeting of the Thames County Council was held yesterday at the Warden's Court, at four o'clock. All the Councillors were present. INTRODUCTION OF OFFICERS. The newly elected Clerk and Treasurer, Mr E. W.Hollis, and the Surveyor, Mr A. Aitken were introduced to the Council and took their seats. BYE-LAWS. It was agreed on the motion of Or Mitchell that the bye-laws relating to slaughter-houses, &c, should be printed and considered at the next meeting. BIG PUMP. Crs Spencer, Bagnall and the Chairman were appointed a committee to conclude arrangements regarding the Big Pump.f* The Council then adjourned until 10 a.m. on Tueiday, Jan. 30th.
