BILLS OF LADING AND BEOEIPT3 IN LIEU THEREOF. XT is hereby notified, tfeat, after the Ist of ■ January 1876, the uae of Impressed Stamps on Bills of Lading-is compulsory. Such documents must, after that date, be written upon paper previously impressed at the Head Office, and cannot be stamped after the execution thereof. , : ; Ifc is requested, therefore, that Merchants, Shipping Agents, and others concerned, will, without delay, forward to this office such forms as they may require to be impressed, accompanied by the usual requisition! aria receipt of the Bank of New Zealand for the amount, less the authorised discount. •'■ Information may be obtained at any Stamp Office.
