QUEEN OF THE MAY.
Last night the drive from the winze and the drive from the reef broke into each other. A contract will shortly be let for driving on the reef, and the manager will soon be in a position to commence crushing from this level. As the dirt taken out of the drive from the winze had to be hauled up the winze, this part of the work has been rather difficult. There is not the slightest reason to doubt but that the new level will prove as remunerative, if not more so, than the one above.
