The written answers returned by the 15 competitors for this valuable prize (Miss Stickland's Queens of England 8 vols., £6 6s) were delivered to the judges Dr Kilgour, Mr Wilkinson and Mr Carpenter, who having carefully, separately and collectively examined the papers, have returned them marked from No 1 to 6.
