Meeting of the Bright Smile Creditors.
• A meeting of the Thames unsecured creditors of the Bright Smile Goldmining Company was held to-day to consider, and if approved, forward the following recommendation. Mr Wm. Eowe was in the chair and there was a full attendance of creditors. After considering the recommendation it was approved and ordered ,to be forwarded to Mr John Murray, Inspector, New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency :— "We the undersigued creditors recommend the mortgagees of the Bright Smile Gold Mining Company's property at (xrahamstown to sell the pumping plant shaft and winding gear (exclusive of one rope which has never been in use) for seven thousand pounds reserving right of access to mine by the shaft and to winding at per and we guarantee the said mortgagees that we will take over the balance of the property for the balance of the debt being seven thousand pounds or thereabouts, besides taking an equitable share, in the pumping Association, one third if necessary. The use of the pumping water .to be reserved for the Bright Smile mine." [To be signed by creditors.] MEMO. BY ME MUBBAY. " Conditionally on the creditors of the Bright Smile Company undertaking as above the mortgages will sell to an Association the pumping plant, shaft and winding engine as above described and subject to the limitations also enumerated above for the sum of seven thousand pounds. " Auckland 11th Dec, 1875. "John Mtjbbit, " For the mortgagees." A sub-committee, consisting of Messrs Eowe, Eeid, Eenshaw, Watson. McVey and Ehrenfried, was appointed for the purpose of forming a new company to take the mine and two batteries. Subcommittee to meet to night.
