Prospecting at Tauranga.

Prospectors Driven Off the

Ground.

Tauranga appears doomed to disappointment. The prospectors were driven back on Saturday by natives, influenced by evil disposed Europeans. The settlers feel much disheartened, and do not hesitate to express freely their disgust at such unwarranted and ruinous conduct.

E. Morris, candidate for Assembly, addressed a large and influential meeting on Saturday, and at the conclusion received a vote of confidence. Mr Morris proceeds to Gisbome
