COST OF THE ABYSSINIAN WAR.
The House of Commons' Committee of Public Accounts report that the total cost of the war, so far as ascertain^ up to the present time, amounts in round numbers to £8,950,000. But there are further charges not yet settled, amounting to something^ er £30,000, and it is almost impossible to state positively that no more claims will be put forward by the .Government of India.
