CRICKET.
At a committee meeting of the Thames Cricket Club held last night it was decided not to continue the match Eleven
v. Twenty-two on Saturday next, as some members had consented to play on the understanding that it was a one innings match only. The match for Saturday next will be between Grahamstown and Shortland, and on the following Saturday sides will" be chosen from'member's of the' club, omitting all those who played on the side of the first Eleven. This, we hear, has been done to give the junior or inexperienced members a chancerpf\distinguishing themselves, and'will'tto doubt increase.the strength of tho club. The following gentlemen additional to those present at the general meeting, wore duly elected members :-r-S£essrs fir S.T^fafcfarland/W. W. ttobinson; J. K?Mssddnald. | W. Frater, Q Hulme, F.
