NEW EXCHANGE.
Operations in this mine are being carried on from the Crown Princess 255 feet or main working level; contractors are driving on the reef some 40 feet in, and putting up a rising sto c. The stone is highly mineralised, ■with a small show of gold occasionally, being of a crystalised formation about 20 inches wide. The lode however is shaken through the country being formerly disturbed. The whole of the quartz is sared for crushing. Access to the workings is via Crown Princess shaft and drive, and is decidedly the best way of dealing with the property. To place both mines under one management would be wisdom.
