OBTAINfNG- MONET UNDE3 FAiSE PRETENCES. dames Simpson was charged on warrant from Auckland that he did on the 21st I November, 1865, at Auckland, unlawfully and knowingly, by a certain false pre- | tence, to wife, by stating that he was the ■ owner of allotment No. 11 section 38, village of Onehunga, obtain of and from James Baber, agent of the informant, the sum of £60 the monies of informant, with intent to defraud the informant, one Ewen ' Cameron. Mr Bulle'n said the prisoner had been apprehended at Waikawau last night, and he admited that he was the person named in the warrant. It would" be seen that the alleged offence was committed ten years ago. He (Mr Bullen) would ask that prisonerbe remanded to Auckland. Remand granted to Auckland on the 20th instant.
